    • Frakenstein Chick named Ayla!--Erik_Exalted - 2/11/2009 12:47:16 PM
The reply function doesn't seem to be working, as whenever I sign in all the other comments go poof. But I am glad that the fact that Ayla is a "Frankenstein" (or rather a very advanced zombie) was able to come across in the lineart medium. But Fred managed to pull it off. In full color its easier to see that she is a "little different" due to the fact that her skin is the color of modeling clay.
    • weird...--Firebrand - 2/11/2009 10:11:06 PM
can't see posts logged in. Ohh Fred's webdude... *rings bell*

Anyways, why train a partner when you can just make one? and...AH bad calc!!

*Pulls Calc away from nibbling on her heel* It just looks like clay! bad mithra!!

Is the male character an Exalted? Zombie chick is hot
    • Indeed(sorta)--Erik_Exalted - 2/17/2009 1:58:48 AM
Yes he is an Exalted... sorta. Lets just say I rp in a very strange irc/forum rp. Basic premise is that all the roleplaying games in existence, along with video games and the like, are all actually parallel worlds to earth. And there is an organization that is dedicated to make sure the gaming universes all run smoothly. Most of the NPCs from this universe are unaware of the real world. But sometimes they awaken like Erik(the exalted there) and Ayla(the zombie, from mutants and masterminds)
    • nah....--Digital_Adramelech - 3/3/2009 11:30:34 PM
That's been pretty standard for RP forums, the mix and match worlds concept has been around since the late 90's at least in rp circles. In recent years we called it the "kingdom hearts" setting, letting you cross any world setting over.
    • Well..--Erik_Exalted - 3/4/2009 5:30:53 PM
Then you take into consideration that this RP is actually a fan rp of a comic and its a little different spin. But basically it sounds as you describe.
    • well..--Digital_Adramelech - 3/6/2009 12:11:41 AM
In truth, all RP is fan rp, in some sense. Only ones I ever stopped were literal copies of the original material. I remember one boob who insisted on writing in the script to gungrave, not even changing names, just adding the others into his scene.

Other than that, I absolutely loved the rp that sprang up from that format, always amusing, even when it was childish drivel, how a writer would act upon the utter sillyness another had left before him, I always made things fun for them.

The one with a watchmen fetish style and the Marxist with the genius iq were ones I had email alerts set to warn me for posts, tho with them, you needed to set aside time to read it. It was that good, and that long.

Nostalgia is a harsh mistress. I do hope you have many pages of adventure in your keyboard yet, mine are sadly tapped out.

I have always been a huge fan of your art work, just recently got into GD and I am trying my hardest to get every issue, I am really like the zombie Frankenchick, lol
    • Re: sorta...--nullcast - 4/30/2009 6:09:41 PM
From the description that sounds like Gaming Guardians a bit. That said I think the premise is less than uncommon.
    • Actually, yeah--ErikExalted - 5/3/2009 4:41:51 PM
If it sounds like Gaming Guardians, it's because it sorta is. At least the RP community based on said comic.
